Hugh Jackman has taken a playful jab at his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Ryan Reynolds, sharing his on-set experience with the American celebrity.
The Wolverine actor, who reprised his role from the 2013 film, revealed that 48-year-old filmmaker didn’t allow him to dance in the third installment.
During a recent performance of his stage show, From New York, With Love, at Radio City Music Hall, Hugh expressed his disappointment.
Speaking exclusively on stage, the 56-year-old star said, “Now that’s fine, I don’t need to be in every scene in the movie. But Ryan is a writer. And when I see the script, I see that the scene that I’m not in is the opening sequence which is a dance number to an NSYNC song by Ryan.”
The Logan actor jokingly added, “I’m like, the one scene I’m not in has dance. Now Ryan, he’s very talented, but dancing? There is no way I would try and match Ryan’s dance double Nick Pauley…because the guy’s like 25 years old.”
Later in the show, the Australian singer brought out his personal choreographer, Beth Lewis, and performed a dance to NYSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye.
For the unversed, the action/sci-fi film has been a runaway blockbuster success for the Marvel Cinematic Universe since its release in July 2024.
